Master quilter Dian Keepers of Centralia, Washington created two whole-cloth lap quilts for this week's presidential inaugural ceremonies (January 20, 2001).  The lap quilts will be used by female family members of President-elect George W. Bush and Vice President-elect Dick Cheney. Dian owns a quilting business in Centralia, WA - Keepers Kustom Machine Quilting.

Dian says: "I have done live interviews with radio stations in Texas, Washington, and Oregon today and tomorrow I have a live interview with a Spokane station. The phone rings off the hook. The Texas guy said that I was a celebrity. It hit the AP wire and went to the nation. So who knows where they will be calling next? I know that Idaho has gotten the news also."
